When crossing open water, wind, waves and currents will "push" your kayak around and a rudder blade can help keep the kayak straight, much like the feathers on an arrow allow it to fly true. Without them, when you're paddling in wind you can find yourself taking much harder strokes on one side to keep your kayak running straight or help them steer. This simple rudder kit includes a control line and a rudder that for simple installation.
Features:
Mounts on the stern of your kayaks vertically.
Gain control of your kayak in windy or turbulent conditions.
Pin measures approximately 1.8" in length and 0.4" in diameter.
Able to be secured when in the raised position to prevent the rudder from self deploying.
Wires run from the blade to your foot brace which are used to control the rudder during paddling.
Work with foot control (Not Included) to achieve the effect of direction change and designed for seayak, kayak, canoe, angling boat, etc
